Weekly Verse for May 28-June 4

Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.

- MATTHEW 9:22 (ESV)

What does this mean?

Faith is a powerful thing, and we see right here in this verse just what Faith can do!
The book of Matthew talks a lot about having faith, so therefore, it's probably an important topic we should focus on! We see in Matthew 17:20 that Jesus says if we have faith just as large as a mustard seed (a mustard seed is not very big) then we will be able to move mountains!
In this chapter of scripture in Matthew 9, a woman comes up to Jesus and simply touches Him. But the powerful part here, is that she believed she would be healed when she touched him.
Do you struggle with having faith in your day-to-day life? Have faith in God this week, and follow Him in a way that honors Him, and in a faithful way.

So here's the key:
1) We are all still sinners, and we will all mess up. So while we might not stay faithful all the time, praise God that He stays faithful to us, no matter the circumstances!
2) Biblical faith is having trust in God Himself, not certainty that we'll get everything we ask for. If you're aiming to achieve something, pursue it boldly, fully, and faithfully, but all while trusting God with whatever outcome happens.
